Continental is seeking an Outside Sales Representative responsible for executing a full range of sales duties within the sales cycle, throughout Western Canada for our location in Edmonton. This is a hunting-focused role, where success depends on your ability to relentlessly pursue and secure new business relationships. We’re seeking someone who thrives on the challenge of identifying and converting opportunities into ongoing, repeatable revenue.

What you will be doing:

  • Hunt for new business opportunities and be relentless in achieving sales targets.
  • Understand the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities and achieve booking and profit goals.
  • Ensure smooth sales-to-operations turnover and follow through on sold projects.
  • Participate in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on market trends.
  • Expand service offerings with key accounts in targeted industry sectors.
  • Align and prioritize CEMS service and product offerings with customer goals.
  • Analyze historical sales records and market intelligence to propose growth strategies.
  • Adhere to CRM guidelines as set out by Management.
  • Exhibit CEMS core values of Safety, Quality, and Schedule, taking responsibility for actions and supporting colleagues.
  • Travel overnight up to 25% as required for business.

What we need from you:

The successful candidate must be motivated, organized, and disciplined with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work collaboratively with the various teams in the organization.

  • Self-directed and committed to achieving business goals independently and collaboratively. A combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of sales experience in an industrial Business to Business market segment is ideal
  • Account development and strategic sales skills
  • Experience selling to Purchasing Managers, Maintenance Managers & Reliability Engineers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience and proficiency using CRM is preferred
  • Prospecting, Presentation & Closing Skills
  • Driven to meet/exceed sales targets
  • Territory Management
  • Possess a valid driver's license in good standing
